IOHHA Scholarship

$1,000 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD CALLING ALL HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS!

The IOHHA is proud to present our annual scholarship opportunity given in honor of Dan and Katherine Willoughby. 

The winning high school senior student will receive a $1,000.00 scholarship towards college financial aid.

The award recognizes excellence in historical reflection on a favorite piece of Isle of Hope History, writing skill and community pride.

Essays will be judged on their connection to Isle of Hope history and originality. Essays must be the student’s original work. Plagiarism or AI generated content is not permitted. Sources must be properly credited.

Applicants must be enrolled in at least 12 hours of classes at an accredited college or university starting in the Summer or Fall.

All submissions are due by May 1st.

Students must be Isle of Hope residents and may submit one entry.

Essays should be 500-700 words and should not include the applicant’s name.

 The winner will be announced May 30th and the essay will be featured in the 1736 Gazette.
